Coasters for friends.

Whenever I go to a coffee morning I take along a little home-made gift. Sometimes chocolates, often flowers, but occasionally some little coasters. They can be quickly made from scrap fabrics, embroidered or appliqued and made in a short time. These are made from scraps of Moda fabrics and are padded with a heat resistant filling. The edges are just oversewn but can be finished with a simple binding if preferred. The designs are all of cups, mugs, spoons, teapots and sugar bowls but could be anything. Recently I have made several with different coloured cats for friends who adore their moggies!
