Charity Climb for 'Compassion'

A young friend, a photographer and journalist, is just about to set off for a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.  Kilimanjaro contains an example of almost every eco-system on earth - glacier, snow-fields, deserts, alpine moorland, savannah, and tropical jungle - all found along the climb. It is obviously going to be a gruelling expedition. The climb is 19,995 feet and the aim is to raise money for the charity 'Compassion', which is a child centred charity that aims to release children from poverty.
